The presidents of Russia and Iran have discussed the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to the press service of the Kremlins, Vladimir Putin and Ebrahim Raisi, during a telephone conversation between, exchange opinions regarding the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh and the problems of regulating relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Putin informed about the activities of the Russian peacekeeping troops, including providing humanitarian aid to civilians, protecting the rights and security of the Armenian population of Nagorno Karabakh.

The presidents of Russia and Iran emphasized the importance of solving all issues exclusively by peaceful, political-diplomatic means. The parties expressed interest in activating the work of the "3+3" regional consultative platform.

During the discussion of the bilateral agenda, the parties expressed satisfaction with the constructive and mutually beneficial nature of the Russian-Iranian cooperation.
