
Hundreds of people who suffered burns because of the explosion at a gas tanker in Nagorno-Karabakh urgently need specialized medical care, the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva has said.
"Hundreds of victims with burns because of the explosion of the gas tanker need urgent specialized medical care," reads the statement.
According to ICRC Regional Director for Eurasia, Ariane Bauer, hundreds of people are now suffering from horrific, painful burns.
The ICRC reminded all parties that according to international humanitarian law they are obliged to provide medical care to the wounded and sick as quickly as possible.
