Secretary of State Antony Blinken has called on Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to ensure the safety and free movement of the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, to fulfill his promise not to resume military operations and to allow an observation mission, State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said.
He informed that Blinken once again had a telephone conversation with the leader of Azerbaijan on Tuesday.
"Today, the Secretary of State spoke again with President Aliyev and emphasized the inadmissibility of further military operations, the unconditional provision of security, the freedom of movement of the civilian population, and unimpeded humanitarian access to Nagorno-Karabakh," Miller noted.
