Witnessing fear in the eyes of the children from Nagorno-Karabakh is harrowing. Hugh McDermott, head of the parliamentary delegation from the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW) visiting Armenia, wrote about this on X—former Twitter.
“Currently leading a NSW Parliamentary Delegation to Armenia. We are at a Refugee camp on the border. 1000s of ethnic Armenians [from Nagorno-Karabakh] fleeing rape, murder and ethnic cleansing by the Azerbaijan army. Witnessing the fear in the eyes of the children is harrowing,” the Australian MP noted.
