Mehdi Sobhani, the Ambassador of Iran to Armenia, has written a letter to the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, urging them to take immediate action and send humanitarian aid from Iran to Armenia. This was announced on September 27 by Iranian parliament member Robert Beglaryan in a conversation with NEWS.am.
Beglaryan also mentioned that negotiations had taken place with the Iranian Red Crescent Society.
The parliamentarian clarified that the Iranian government is in the process of making preparations.
"Three days ago, another Iranian parliament member, Ara Shahverdyan, and I met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and expressed our concerns about the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, the situation with the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, and the potential crimes and threats of deportations of Armenians.
We called on the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to pay closer attention to these issues. A relevant report has already been prepared and will be submitted to the head of the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who is returning from New York today," said Beglaryan.
