
Members of the European Parliament will discuss at the plenary session on 3 October the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and are expected to adopt a resolution condemning Azerbaijan for its military aggression against Karabakh, the European Parliament said in a statement.
“On Tuesday, 3 October, parliament will discuss the difficult situation in Nagorno-Karabakh,” the statement reads, adding that the MPs are going to condemn the unjustified attack by Azerbaijan.
On 3 October, the European Parliament is scheduled to hold a discussion over the situation in Karabakh with representatives of the EU Council, the European Commission and the Spanish Presidency. A vote on the resolution is expected on Thursday, 5 October.
Previously, the European Union said Azerbaijan was responsible for respecting the rights and safety of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh and stated that it would take action against Baku if the people in Karabakh were subjected to oppression.
