Prominent figures from Armenia, including historians, musicians, artists, and journalists, have come together to voice their concerns and call for the protection of Ruben Vardanyan and other individuals who have been arrested by Azerbaijan.

These public figures are urging the government of the Republic of Armenia to take consistent and effective measures to safeguard the legal rights and interests of Ruben Vardanyan and other Armenian citizens who have been unlawfully detained and persecuted by Azerbaijan.

Ruben Vardanyan, who was captured by Azerbaijani military forces on September 27, is highly regarded for his significant contributions to the development of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and Armenia, both as a public figure and statesman, as well as a successful businessman.

The accusations against Ruben Vardanyan, which have been widely criticized as baseless and fabricated, coupled with the lack of confidence in Azerbaijan's justice system, have raised concerns that he may face severe consequences.
