President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev hopes that the meeting to be held in Granada will give impetus to the development of the peace agenda in the region. Aliyev has said this at a meeting with Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, at his residence in Baku, Turan.az reports.

Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan took the initiative of the peace treaty and noted that historic opportunities have been created in the region to advance the peace agenda.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev are scheduled to meet in Granada on October 5. The leaders of France, Germany and the European Council will also participate in the meeting.
