French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, during a joint press conference with the Armenian Foreign Ministry, expressed France's solidarity and support for Armenia and its people. She stated that her visit, occurring five months after her previous one, aims to show France's friendship and support during the difficult times Armenia is facing.

Colonna emphasized that within two weeks, Armenia has received over 100,000 residents from Nagorno-Karabakh who were compelled to leave their historic lands due to military actions by Azerbaijan, with the participation of Russia. She also pointed out that this situation follows nine months of an illegal blockade of the region, which was in violation of an International Court of Justice demand to open it in February.

The French Foreign Minister acknowledged the emotional impact of this situation in France and commended the Armenian people for their dignity, hospitality, resilience, and commitment to democratic values shared by both countries.
