On October 4, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Wojciech Gerwel in Yerevan, as reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Hovhannisyan provided his counterpart with details about the situation resulting from Azerbaijan's ongoing aggressive and ethnic cleansing policies in Nagorno-Karabakh. He particularly highlighted the assessment of the immediate needs of over 100,000 forcibly displaced Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh and the efforts of the Armenian government to address them. In this context, Hovhannisyan expressed gratitude to Poland for its support.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia emphasized that Azerbaijan's deliberate and actual ethnic cleansings in Nagorno-Karabakh are the outcome of unlawful and deliberate actions by international actors, which have created a sense of impunity for Azerbaijan. In this context, the necessity of utilizing specific mechanisms to restrain Baku's excessive ambitions and destabilizing actions in the region was underscored.

The two officials also discussed various issues on the Armenian-Polish bilateral agenda, touched upon Armenia-EU partnership, and cooperation within international organizations.
