Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan on Monday met with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, Mahdi Safari, the foreign ministry of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Safari has arrived in Armenia as part of the delegation led by the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Mehrdad Bazrpash, to attend the signing ceremony of the contract for the construction of the Agarak-Kajaran section of the North-South motorway project.

During the meeting, the two deputy FMs discussed matters related to Armenia-Iran bilateral economic agenda, as well as regional cooperation.

Also, the parties expressed satisfaction with the progress of joint economic programs.
