During his working visit to the US, Armenia Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan met with Laura Cooper, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, at the US Department of Defense.

The parties discussed Armenia-US bilateral defense cooperation, and emphasized the need to ensure the stability of Armenia’s region, informs the Office of the Security Council of Armenia.

They exchanged views on the implementation of bilateral joint programs, and stressed cooperation within peacekeeping activities and the deepening of interaction between the armed forces of Armenia and the US.

Also, both sides emphasized the work aimed at increasing the democratic management and accountability of the Armenian Armed Forces.
