Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) Chairman Ken Hachikian made a call toward helping the Armenian population of Javakhk and, through donations, assisting in developing that Armenian-populated region of Georgia.

The statement to that effect notes that the Armenian children of Javakhk do not have sufficient food and clean water, the Javakhk Armenians—who wish to remain Armenian—are compelled to abandon their native land out of misery, and the fate of Nakhichevan threatens the Armenian region.

Hachikian urged to make donations so as to help Javakhk’s economic development, political autonomy, and national identity.

Javakhk (Georgian name: Javakheti) is an Armenian-populated part of Georgia’s southeastern Samtskhe-Javakheti province.
