Amendments have been made to the statement by Josep Borrell, the European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, on the extension of EU restrictive measures under the European Magnitsky Act—a regime of global sanctions for human rights violations—for another year.

In particular, the part of the text of the aforesaid statement was deleted where it was noted that Armenia and Azerbaijan also align themselves with the proposal to extend these restrictive measures.

Aforementioned changes were made a few hours after the issuing of that statement.
