Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly (NA), Sargis Khandanyan, on Monday met with the Ambassador of Latvia to Armenia, Edite Medne—whose respective diplomatic residence is in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.

Khandanyan highlighted the intensification of Armenia’s parliamentary relations with Latvia, the active contacts, and the effective cooperation between their parliamentary friendship groups, the NA informed.

Also, the aforesaid committee chair presented the security situation in Armenia’s region, and spoke about the Crossroads of Peace project introduced by the Armenian government.

In addition, Sargis Khandanyan touched upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process, and its reasons for delay.

He added that the Armenian authorities still implement democratic reforms in a number of domains.
