NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg dedicated one third of his remarks in Yerevan to the war in Ukraine.

Stoltenberg is in Armenia as part of his regional visit.

The war in Ukraine is a sobering reminder of the value of peace, I welcome your solidarity with Ukraine, the NATO Secretary General said in a joint press conference with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Tuesday.

The NATO chief admitted that the situation on the Ukrainian battlefield is dire, and, in his view, that is why it is essential to increase the assistance to Ukraine.

In his opinion, if Russian President Vladimir Putin wins the war, there will be a real threat that the "aggression" will not stop there, and it will inspire other authoritarian entities.
