Moscow welcomes the talks between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), stated this during Wednesday’s press briefing.

Zakharova said she considers it important that the contacts in Almaty are proceeding in accordance with the tripartite agreements reached between the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, and which have defined a "roadmap" for the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement process.
