Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko met with Russian President Vladimir Putin late Thursday evening at the Minsk international airport, and said that he has "very interesting proposals related to the security of our region and the Caucasus", which were discussed during his visit to Azerbaijan, Lukashenko's press service reports.

The president of Belarus said that the presidents will first discuss security issues, and economic issues will be discussed Friday, with the participation of government members.

"I think, as always, we put security issues first. And tomorrow we will discuss economic issues together with our government colleagues. I have very interesting proposals for our region and beyond, for the Caucasus, which we discussed very thoroughly during our visit to Azerbaijan," said the head of Belarus.
