Delimitation of the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia is important for regional stability. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), stated this during Thursday’s weekly press briefing.

"We [i.e. Russia] are following the beginning of the practical phase of the delimitation of the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia; it is important for regional stability. We support the settlement of all delimitation issues solely by political and diplomatic methods. We assume that the agreements need to be stable, balanced, mutually acceptable, and be the basis for achieving sustainable peace in the region," said the Russian MFA spox.

Also, Zakharova confirmed Russia's readiness to provide advisory assistance to the two parties in border delimitation on the basis of tripartite agreements.
