Spain resumed imports of Russian iron and steel in April after a three-month pause, according to RIA Novosti's analysis of data from the European Statistical Service.

Russian media notes that Spain stopped regular purchases of this metal from Russia in December 2023 and kept a pause until April. In mid-spring, purchases resumed - 21.3 thousand tons of these metals were imported for 8 million euros.

It is also reported that the country sharply increased purchases of aluminum - 1.5 times, up to 13 million euros, as well as 1.9 times increased imports of titanium from Russia - up to 1.5 million euros.

In general, mutual trade between Russia and Spain decreased in April by 14% to 248 million euros, of which 177.2 million are Russian exports and 70.8 million are Spanish.
