Paris provokes another round of armed confrontation in the South Caucasus. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), stated this during Wednesday’s weekly press briefing—and, commenting on the contract to deliver CAESAR self-propelled howitzers to Armenia by France.

According to Zakharova, this contract is another step to provoke escalation.

She believes that France is not guided by the interests of Armenia, but only seeks to use the existing differences within various countries as a tool to achieve its own opportunistic goals.

Also, she called France the conductor of NATO's ideology.

After negotiations between the defense ministers of Armenia and France in Paris, a contract was signed for the delivery of CAESAR self-propelled howitzers to Armenia by France.
