Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation headed by USAID manager Samantha Power. The press service of Armenian government reports. 

The report says that Nikol Pashinyan welcomed Mrs. Power's visit and stressed the importance of cooperation in different spheres within the framework of Armenia-US strategic dialogue. Nikol Pashinyan appreciated the programs implemented by USAID in Armenia, aimed at the development of democratic institutions. The Prime Minister noted that the Government of the Republic of Armenia will resolutely continue consistent steps towards reforms.

Samantha Power noted that the US Administration values the close cooperation with Armenia and is ready to consistently support the plans of the RA Government in favor of strengthening and developing democracy, as well as increasing the sustainability of Armenia.

It is noted that the interlocutors touched upon the programs implemented by USAID in our country and exchanged views on the perspectives of new joint programs. They emphasized the joint work carried out in the direction of the development of the reform program of the Armenian government and institutional capacities, including strategic communications, further expansion and promotion of interaction. It was noted that USAID will provide new funding of $5 million to support cooperation between Amazon Web Service and the government to implement cloud infrastructure and capacity building in Armenia.

The sides also discussed the humanitarian problems of the people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh, the steps undertaken by the RA Government for their solution, including the housing program. In this context, Prime Minister Pashinyan stressed the importance of further support of the international community and the implementation of the agreements reached at the RA-EU-US high-level meeting held on April 5 in Brussels.

The interlocutors also touched upon the issues related to the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process, as well as the "Crossroads of Peace" project of the RA Government.
