The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry called it unacceptable for the former European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus, European Union Ambassador to Uzbekistan Toivo Klaar, to consider as a special case the issue of the return of Armenians who were forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
The Foreign Ministry, taking advantage of the occasion, put forward another demand, saying that Armenia is "obliged to create appropriate conditions" for the settlement of Azerbaijanis in Armenia.
For some reason, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry is sure that Armenians have no intention of returning to Nagorno-Karabakh.
"The fact that Klaar makes such biased statements, which do not belong to his authority, on the eve of his resignation from his post, is another blow to the reputation of the organization, which an EU official primarily represents," Baku said.
