The selection of Yahya Sinwar as the new head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Hamas movement means that the Palestinians have chosen the path that deprives Israel of its future, according to the commander of the Iranian army, Abdolrahim Mousavi, reports Tasnim News Agency.

"Yesterday's appointment of Yahya Sinwar showed what path the Palestinians and Hamas have chosen. That choice means that the Zionist regime [i.e. Israel] should not have any hope for the future", Mousavi said Wednesday.

The commander of the Iranian army called Sinwar one of the greatest fighters for the freedom of Palestine.

Also, Mousavi compared the Israeli government to wild tribes, stating that "even savages have some norms," while Israel violates all international norms and laws.

All crimes, including the assassination—in Tehran—of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, will not go unanswered, and they will receive a “definite and decisive response” added the commander of the Iranian army.
