Any representative of the Slovak coalition government can be assassinated. The responsibility for this will fall on the liberal opposition in the parliament, Prime Minister Robert Fico said in a video message on Facebook.
"The assassination attempt against me [on May 15] did not end anything because with my removal, the opposition did not get the desired opportunity to destroy the government and cause snap parliamentary elections," said the Slovak PM.
According to him, the assassination attempt could be carried out by an unbalanced supporter of the opposition, under the influence of slander against the coalition government by individual politicians and liberal media.
Fico reminded that the Slovak opposition has scheduled a rally in the capital Bratislava on August 13, with the demand for the resignation of Minister of Culture Martina Simkovicova, who is criticized for her authoritarian leadership style. The premier came out in defense of the minister who had to change her place of residence due to the attacks.
