Algeria has called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss the current situation in connection with the new attacks of the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, reports the radio of this Arab country. Algeria is a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and, as such, pays close attention to the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone.
