Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to return to the United States later this month to address the UN General Assembly, an Israeli official told the Times of Israel.
According to the media source, Netanyahu will likely address the 79th session of the World Leaders Summit in New York on Sept. 26. He will also meet with world leaders on the sidelines of the conference, although the schedule is still being finalized. Netanyahu departed for Washington in late July for high-level meetings with U.S. President Joe Biden and others, although tensions between Jerusalem and Washington remain high. On Monday, Biden appeared to express frustration with Netanyahu over his failure to reach a cease-fire and hostage agreement in Gaza, saying the Israeli leader was not doing enough.
