The main priority of Armenia's security, foreign policy is diversification, and its main goal is to be able to make the problems we had at least during and after the 2020 war manageable, also, to increase Armenia's capacity. Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, stated this during the Second Global Armenian Summit Wednesday.

"We have repeatedly talked about Armenia's security and diversification; and diversification is our main priority. If we have a number of successes in the security sector, we do not have much success in the domain of economy; but we continue to invest a lot of effort in order to be successful.

One of the successes is our technico-military cooperation. Previously, we had more than 96 percent technico-military cooperation with Russia. Today, that number has dropped from 96 to less than 10 percent; this is the success of the policy of the last three to four years. Today we have several important partners in the domain of technico-military cooperation. One is India, the other is France, and we are seeking other partners," said Grigoryan.

According to him, they aim for about 25-30 percent of the technico-military production to be within Armenia; that is, the military industry shall serve Armenia's needs.

"This is our strategic goal. Also, we want to have four to five partners, with each of them the amount [of collaboration] will not exceed 20 percent," he added.

As per the secretary of the Security Council, Armenia is seeking partners for economic diversification as well.

"Diversification of the economy is also important. Today, almost every country in the world is seeking diversification. Strengthening of sovereignty, protecting of territorial integrity, strengthening of democracy are strategic priorities for Armenia. Our goal is also that the diversification process serves these strategic goals," emphasized Armen Grigoryan.
