BAKU. - The unsolved Nagorno Karabakh conflict impedes the development of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the expert of Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Thomas de Waal informed during the interview to the Azerbaijani radio station Azadliq.

The conflict impedes the democratization of both countries, and the lack of democracy impedes the solution of the conflict.

“Democratization is an effective way to solve conflicts in an ideal world. The conflict impedes the development of both countries. We have a vicious circle here,” de Waal mentioned.
