Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during talks with his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock,speaking about the situation in the South Caucasus, said that “third parties should encourage the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia in a fair and impartial manner,” TASS reported citing a source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

Fidan, as the source noted, drew attention to the fact that “a historic opportunity has been used for the successful completion of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.”

According to the Turkish minister, “third parties should encourage this process in a fair and impartial manner.”

Fidan also said that his country supports the negotiation process to end the conflict in Ukraine.

“The minister said at the meeting that Turkey supports the negotiation process for an early and final end to the Russian-Ukrainian war,” the source said.

The two sides also discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip and Israel's actions in the region.

“Fidan noted that the genocide committed by Israel in Gaza must be stopped. The international community should make joint efforts to urgently establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensure uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid,” the spokesman said.
