Starting today, only the servicemen of the Border Guard Troops of the Republic of Armenia are carrying out border control at the Agarak border checkpoint of the Armenia-Iran state border, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on Facebook on Monday.
"Until now, since the independence of Armenia [in 1991], border control at the Agarak checkpoint was carried out by the Border Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, and I want to thank them for their service rendered. And good luck to our border guards who have taken over border control as of today," Pashinyan wrote.
