The minister of justice of Armenia hopes that a document will be signed with the US on legal assistance and extradition of persons. Srbuhi Galyan announced this at a press conference Tuesday.
Answering the question about the planned signing of a strategic partnership document between Armenia and the US this evening in Washington D.C., Galyan reminded that Armenia’s cooperation with the US has been consistently developing for many years.
The Armenian justice minister particularly noted the efforts of the US embassy Yerevan in helping Armenia in the fight against corruption.
“I hope that the strategic cooperation document will further deepen the relations,” Galyan added.
Also, the minister noted that this possibility has been discussed for many years, and she hopes that under the new US administration it will be possible to continue the discussions on signing the document on legal aid and extradition.
