Russian President Vladimir Putin will be happy to welcome foreign leaders, including his US counterpart Donald Trump, to Moscow on May 9 if they come. This was stated by the Russian president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov. According to him, this is an important day for Russia, especially in the current circumstances.

“This is a day that symbolizes the victory over fascism. And this theme, unfortunately, is more relevant now than ever. And therefore, if there will be countries, and even more so large countries, that decide to share the joy of this victory and the significance of this day with us, then, of course, we, and especially President Putin, will be happy to welcome them to Moscow,” Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin.

This year, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, and Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke about their plans to attend the Victory Day parade in Moscow, Kommersant reports.
