The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs  of France welcomed the announcement on the successful conclusion of negotiations on a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

In its respective statement, the aforesaid French ministry expressed hope that the two parties will sign this treaty as soon as possible.

“The normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, while respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of both countries, shall enable the South Caucasus to become a zone of peace, integration and cooperation, with open borders, for the benefit of the population of the region,” added the French foreign ministry.
