YEREVAN. - 2011 was a post-crisis rehabilitation year, Armenian parliament deputy Speaker Samvel Balasanyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“We managed to register progress in various spheres in 2011, in particular, the agricultural sphere. I believe, results will be more significant in 2012. Last year gave us many happy moments: successes of our football players, weightlifters and chess players, as well as the recent adoption of the bill penalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide by the French National Assembly and significant activation in economic life,” Balasanyan said. “Armenia will have Parliamentary elections this year. We should do everything to hold them in accordance to international standards.”
