In a move poised to transform the landscape of Armenian Christian media, Khachkar Studios  has launched the New $10,000 EMPOW Awards, an initiative that brings generous financial  backing and bold vision to a spiritual mission.

The EMPOW Awards—short for Engaging, Motivational, Powerful, Originality, and  Wisdom—represent more than just recognition. They are a call to action. Starting this June,  Khachkar Studios will distribute $250,000 across 2025 to honor outstanding “Good News”  media productions: from sermons and homilies to AI-driven short clips and podcasts.

This initiative is part of a broader, historically unprecedented $10+ million “Good News”  support program announced in April 2025. It’s not just about money—it’s about building a  thriving ecosystem of Christian role models and media creators who can connect with a  younger generation, amplify the voice of faith, and double the current number of active  Armenian churchgoers in the United States.

The awards aren’t a one-time offering. They are designed to be regular—monthly, and  possibly even weekly—and creators may receive multiple awards. This frequency  underscores Khachkar Studios’ intent to create sustained momentum and enduring impact.

What makes the EMPOW Awards especially compelling is their measurement of success:  social return on investment (SROI), defined as growth in “The Faithful”—Armenians who  attend Badarak outside of holidays. With current participation at a sobering 3%, Khachkar  Studios’ near-term target is to double that to 6%.

The studio also draws inspiration from the parable of the talents—believing that those  entrusted with resources must multiply their gifts for the greater good. With this ethos,  Khachkar Studios isn’t merely investing in media—it’s investing in transformation.
