The Zhoghovurd newspaper of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: According to the Zhoghovurd daily’s information, representatives of various circles will arrive in Armenia from the US next week. Well-informed [Armenian] government sources conveyed to us: the agenda of the visit concerns the project which is known in the public sphere as the “42-kilometer Trump corridor” [via Armenia].
According to the Zhoghovurd daily’s information, the American guests will discuss not only the technical and political details of the corridor, but also the amount of investments, priorities, as well as the timeframes for the start of construction work.
According to the sources, the objective of the visit is to clarify the sequence of steps aimed at the practical implementation of the already initialed version of the Trump-Aliyev-Pashinyan memorandum. At the moment, [Armenian] official sources are silent about both the details of the visit and the agenda.
However, according to Zhoghovurd’s information, the discussions will be in a closed format, and the decisions will have a direct connection with shaping a new road reality in the region.
