YEREVAN.- Armenian media outlets are actively discussing the names of possible candidates who would represent Armenia at the Eurovision 2012 in Baku. Among the possible candidates are Lucia Moon and Dorians rock band. The final decision will be made by the council of the public television to be voiced ahead of March 18.

Lucia Moon who currently lives in Los Angeles expressed readiness to represent Armenia in Azerbaijan. She told about her plans in an e-mail interview with the Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Media outlets name you as possible candidate to represent Armenia at Eurovision 2012. Have you discussed the matter with anyone?

I have spoken to my Produser David Iondem, and he has revealed our intentions to the Eurovision commetee in Armenia. We had sent a demo of my song to the commetee and now we are working on the final draft of the song.

Which song have you presented to the commitee created by Armenia’s public television? Why do you think, the committee must choose your song?

The song I have introdused is called “Delicious Feeling” I hope they will choose my song due to its  uniqueness, power, and its meaningfull content.

Why do you want to present Armenia at Eurovision?

Other than my deep love towards Armenian people and my homeland Armenia, the official goals why I have offered my candidacy are the following:

a.  I am an Armenian, former Baku Resident, forsed to leave the country back in 1988

b.  I have the right song for Armenian representation.

c.   I am not only a singer, but an author of the song

d.   I am psychologically, technically and spiritually prepared for this mission

c.   By representing Armenia in Azerbaijan I will show the world that Music Should not be controlled, even more threatened by Politics.

d.  My representation will allow Armenia and Azerbaijan to share a moment of silence and listen to what a former Baku resident, of an Armenian descent, who was turned into a refugee has to say in her 3 minute song.

Have anyone guaranteed or promised you that you would represent Armania?

No one had guaranteed me my representation and even more selection. I  move forward solely by what I have to offer.  I believe that  I have all it needs in order to represent my homeland Armenia on the territory of Azerbaijan.

How do you estimate your chances to represent Armenia at the song contest?  What do you think will you have any rivals in Armenia and who will be they?

All these years, since I was 20 years old I was involved in music. At times full time, other times part time, due to the second career that I have going on, however, not a single time I had intentions of participating in the Eurovision, until this year.  I am not known as much to the Armenian people yet, however most of Armenian entertainment industry has known me for years prior to the news on my possible Eurovision participation.  In the professional circles I was always an active member. This I say only to let the reader know that I am not a made up star or an off the street performer.  I stayed in the shadows, because fame and vanity were not my central goals. This year I came out of the shadow, because I feel that I am ready for this particular mission.  As far as other candidates, I am welcoming that idea.

If you represent Armenia in Baku, what will you do for your victory? What expectations do you think Armenian audience has?

I will sing for my victory: sing with passion, sencerity, and sing about Love : my vission of it, my full experience of it.  I think the major expectation Armenian audience has and had was for an Armenian candidate to formally win the Eurovision contest. I am consentrating not only on winning, but also, on delivering my message to the world. I want everyone to stop for three minutes and  feel and see how Love works.

Have you followed the other representatives of Armenia at Eurovision, who do you like most of all? (Andre, Hayko, Sirusho, Ingaand Anush Arshakyans, Eva Rivas, Emmy)

Most of the above candidates I have met. To some I spoke  regarding their performance and experience in Eurovision. I like them all without an exception. I believe in the choice Armenia makes, due to its good taste in detecting a tallent and showing it off to the world. Each of the above mentioned performers other than a great singing abilities had something unique to offer in my opinion.  For example:  Andre( simply irresistable), Hayko(  always the most Romantic), Sirusho( show diva), Inga and Anush ( Ethnic and contemporary mix invention and invasion), Eva ( singing model, simply gorgeous) Emmy( very playful and innocent: she is my daughter’s favourite, by the way.

What about your plans for the future? Do you plan to give concerts in Armenia? Have you ever thought about living and working in Armenia?

This is my favorite question of all.I would love to live and work in Armenia for one specific reason:   I know that I can contribute a lot to Armenia today. Not yesterday, not the day before, when I was in search of myself and trying to learn and polish and excell, but Today, when I know exactly where I am going and why. My future plans include concerts as well as the release of two albums.
