Armenia’s peacekeeping forces have temporarily pulled out from Kosovo.

In an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am, MOD Peacekeeping Brigade Commander, Major General Arthur Simonyan informed that there were no problems.

“We even received a certificate of appreciation from the American Command. It is just that the troops are being reduced, and the military troops are being pulled out. We were not the only ones to pull out; other countries likewise pulled out their troops,” the Brigadier Commander noted.

But he added that the Armenian peacekeepers could return to Kosovo, and that the peacekeeping mission could be carried out in another direction. As per Major General Simonyan, the term has simply expired.

“But the talks are continuing, and our peacekeepers could head to Kosovo, or another country,” Simonyan noted, adding that the American Command and the Greek peacekeepers thanked the Armenian peacekeepers for the joint service, and that the American side could invite the Armenian troops again for service.
