YEREVAN. – The Armenian Armed Forces open fire in retaliation for ceasefire violation only once for each 10 cases, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan told the journalists on Wednesday.
“Only a part of the Armenian side’s shots are targeted. I gave an order to counter fire only to targeted shoots, when the Armenian side incurs losses or servicemen are injured as a result of snipers’ shooting,” Ohanyan said. “We do everything to maintain security in the frontline.”
Commenting on Azerbaijan’s military build-up, Ohanyan said that Baku violates provisions of the treaty on conventional armed forces in Europe, stressing that the super powers should give an adequate response.
