The Armenian National Committee in America (West Coast) sent an open letter to the Democratic Party headquarters in California protesting against the invitation of the Progressive faction Genocide denier Cank Uygur to give a speech during his visit to San Diego, Asbarez informs.

Uygur, who is the main host of the Young Turks program, has many times denied the Armenian Genocide in different papers and on his website.

In the letter the Armenian Committee calls the Democratic Party Structure in California to review the invitation of Uygur.

“We call the Democratic Party to review the invitation of the Genocide denier. His program The Young Turks perpetuates a false contempt towards the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims,” the letter reads.
