STEPANAKERT. – The adversary violated the ceasefire, at the line of contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces, around 160 times in the past week.

Through different weaponry, the Azerbaijani army’s vanguard divisions fired more than 600 shots in the direction of Armenian positions.

The ceasefire violations were especially intense on Monday and Tuesday, during which more than 300 shots were fired in the direction of Armenian position-holders, Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

Honoring the ceasefire, however, NKR Defense Army’s vanguard divisions for the most part refrained from response operations, and they confidently defended the military positions.
