Not many scientific discoveries are used in everyday life, but the German physicist Heinrich Rudolf Hertz’s inventions are among those discoveries that surround us. The radio and television, which were invented thanks to his discoveries, are an indispensable part of our daily lives.   

And February 22, 2012, marks the 155th birth anniversary of Heinrich Rudolf Hertz, and, on that occasion, Google has prepared a special doodle which depicts an electromagnetic wave, whose existence was conclusively proved first by Hertz.
