YEREVAN. – Armenia’s interstate highways, local roads, and mountain passes are drivable, for the most part, as of Friday 10 a.m. But there are icy roads in some sections.

The motorway is closed in Yernjapat village near Aparan city. Selim Mountain Pass is likewise closed due to snowstorm and low visibility, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

And according to the information received from Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department, as of Friday at 9 a.m., travel at Georgia’s Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway—which leads to the Armenian border—is prohibited for trailers and semi-trailers, and for buses seating more than thirty passengers. Traffic is solely permitted for other vehicles with chained wheels, and for four-wheel drive automobiles.
