YEREVAN. – Ruling coalition member Orinats Yerkir Party intends to have at least 10% of votes to the minimum in the upcoming parliamentary elections, party representative Mher Shahgeldyan told the journalists on Friday.
He said the party will publish proportional list and names of single-mandate candidates during the March 3 congress.
“I do not want to make forecasts, everything depends on citizens’ will. However, various surveys show that the party may have not less than 10% of votes,” he said.
The party polled 6.8% of votes in 2007.
Asked whether the party will include MP-businessmen in the list, Shahgeldyan said they will obey the law, if anyone wants, he/she can run in single-mandate electoral districts.
