YEREVAN. - Armenia’s ruling Republican Party (RPA) is not going to include any businessmen in its proportional election lists, Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan told the U.S. Ambassador in Armenia John Heffern.

As the press service of the Armenian Government informed Armenian News-NEWS.am, the sides discussed the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia, the possibility of businessmen participation and the bill on ‘Legal regime of emergency’ in the state.

“We welcome all the actions of the government for providing the opposition with serious tools which are directed towards conducting legal and fair elections,” the Ambassador stressed.

Talking about the bill on ‘Legal regime of emergency’, Tigran Sargsyan mentioned that the bill has been improved, proposals by the opposition have been taken into account, after which the bill is presented to the parliament.
