YEREVAN. – Armenia’s interstate highways, local roads, and mountain passes are drivable, for the most part, as of Saturday at 9 a.m. But there is black ice on some road sections.

Selim Mountain Pass, and the motorways of Sipan, Akhpradzor, and Verin Getashen-Madina villages are closed, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informs. 

Also, the roads of Tsaghkahovit, Alagyaz, Ttu Jur, Lusagyugh, Saralanj, Vardenis, Chknagh, Dzoraglukh, Vardenut, and Jrambar villages are difficult to pass.     

Snow removal and road cleaning are in progress.

And according to the information received from Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department, as of Saturday at 9 a.m., the weather has considerably deteriorated in Georgia; and there is low visibility and a danger of avalanche.

The Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway, which leads to the Armenian border, is closed.
