PARIS. – It is necessary to wait till the next legislature to submit a new bill on criminalizing denial of genocides, including the Armenian Genocide, after the ban of the Constitutional Council, Secretary General of the ruling Union for Popular Movement (UMP) party Jean-François Copé said on Wednesday, Le Monde reports.

Earlier the UMP representative commented on the Council’s decision on i-TELE that considering the great expectations in the current stage, which also meet universal human values of France, the president said to elaborate a new bill, taking into account the Council’s remarks.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am has earlier informed, the Council stated the bill, criminalizing denial of genocides, anti-constitutional on Tuesday.
