YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan on Tuesday received French Ambassador Henri Reynaud and discussed the Armenian-French cooperation in the field of education. 

The Ambassador congratulated the Minister for Armenia’s assuming the 2012-2015 Secretariat of the Bologna Process. In his turn, Ashotyan noted that Armenia views the assuming of this secretariat as a progress in its foreign policy in the field of education, the Ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.      

The parties reflected on the plan toward founding a French high school in Armenia. “We are confident that the introduction of the French track-record in the field of education will be effective for Armenia,” Armen Ashotyan noted.  

Also, the Minister introduced to the French ambassador the cooperation proposals in the field of higher education. In this context, they especially underscored the French University of Armenia’s accreditation by France. Armenia’s Education and Science Minister proposed the French side to commence an accreditation process also for Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction.    

The interlocutors also examined the cooperation between Descartes University of France and Yerevan State Medical University, and other matters with respect to bilateral education programs.
