YEREVAN. – The ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Campaign Headquarters Chief Hovik Abrahamyan promised that, as a result of his activities, RPA’s proportional list will receive 35 percent of the ballots to be cast in the forthcoming National Assembly (NA) elections, Hraparak daily writes.

“The RPA elite considers this a good result because, if this pledge turns into reality, and [if] the RPA MPs [to be] elected with the majority [election system] are added to this, RPA yet gain will have an absolute majority in NA. RPA had received 34 percent in the 2007 parliamentary elections,” Hraparak writes.
